[EN] Segfault with Chromium 38?

Chromium is not opening after las DU. I can see the Chromiumscreen, and then the Program crashes.
Syslog is giving me:

Chrome_IOThread[26688]: segfault at 0 ip 00007f85fb69d630 sp 00007f85c57f81d0 error 4 in libstdc++.so.6.0.20[7f85fb640000+ec000]

/var/log/apt/term shows:

dpkg: Warnung: Version »/etc/chromium/master_preferences« hat falsche Syntax: Versionsnummer beginnt nicht mit einer Ziffer

I do not have a folder /etc/chromium/ an dI think i never had!


Has anybody the same problem?

I saw this warning during d-u, but chromium 38 is running stable on two systems here.

okay, I deleted  ~/.config/chromium and it started (!)... but als my personal settings are (of courde) gone.

To have the bookmarlks back i copied from the default folder the bookmarks file.

It seems that Giuseppe is really frustrated by the situation and I can understand that he is giving up.
