yupp

Daran hat es gelegen. Musste in den Systemeinstellungen / Schriftarten die Schrift für "feste Breite" auf "Hack" einstellen. So ist es auch bei meinen anderen Rechnern eingestellt.
Muss man erst einmal drauf kommen.

Lösung:

Nach etwas Internetrecherche stieß ich auf den Tipp, den Ordner /home/isegrimm/.local/share/keyrings zu löschen.

Ich habe ihn umbenannt ... er wurde neu erzeugt, aber die Abfrage kommt nicht mehr.

Hallo,

also ich kenne solche Probleme nur, wenn die verwendete Schriftart kein Monospace-Font ist. Dann wird der Abstand mit jedem eingegeben Zeichen größer.

Hallo
Auf einem frisch aufgesetzten Laptop- System habe ich das Problem dass in der Konsole / Terminal die Eingabe- Position nicht an der gleichen Stelle wie der blinkende Cursor beginnt. Es besteht zwischen der Eingabe und dem Cursor ein Abstand von ca. einem Tab. Ich habe das Internet durchforstet und finde keine Lösung. Werden solche Konfigurationen in der ./bashrc eingerichtet. Eine solche Datei kann ich nicht finden.
Wie kommt das?
Hat jemand eine Idee wie ich das wieder gerade biege bzw. wo ich die bashrc finde.

Sorry, I can't help on this topic but, at the the top of the article it states:

This article is for an older version of HandBrake.

we are currently version 1.9.2+ds1-1 for handbrake and Ubuntu 20.04 is about 5 years old now. I'm not sure any of this will work properly for you.

...So working with links is possible in this case.

Ja genau. Wenn ich Enter drücke passiert nichts und ich kann beliebig weitere Zeichen eingeben.
