Title: Looking for cc-by-sa Salsatrack
Post by: Lanzi on 2012/02/07, 16:12:46
I am part of the dancing community in my hometown (http://www.salsainfo.org/) and we made a promtional-salsaclip that we want to use for homepages and facebook. its a normal noncomercial use!

The problem, as always, is the music and the rights on music.

We would like to have some cool music in the background of the video, but without getting in trouble with copyright owners or the german GEMA.

I already looked around a bit, but didn't find anything. But I am not an expert in free music.

So I see two possibilities:
a) does somebody knows a site with free music (cc-by-sa or equal)?
I alreday found http://incompetech.com/m/c/royalty-free/index.html?genre=Latin but the only song is a bit boring.

b) Somebody here in a latin band who has alreday some music on tape? Surley we would mention the name and link to the bands hp ecc.

Thanks for your help :-)

you could try your luck at the Free Music Archive (http://freemusicarchive.org/). They offer "free downloads under Creative Commons and other licenses" and got a salsa section: Salsa @ Free Music Archive (http://freemusicarchive.org/genre/Salsa/).

greetings,
mork
