[EN] Wifi dropping
« on: 2023/05/10, 15:56:14 »
I installed Siduction a few weeks back and am having an issue with wifi dropping consistently. I have tried updating kernels
to 6.3.1 but am still experiencing it
Currently I'm on release 22.1.0 what troubleshooting steps would you recommend next?

Here are the journal entries from the last disconnect event

One question, do you use a Bluetooth dongle, for a mouse or speakers or ....?

I do observe this behaviour with a Bluetooth-dongle when I connect my Bluetooth-speaker, not the mouse, with the mouse I do not have trouble with my  wifi disconnecting. If I disable the speaker all is ok again.

Or, some times the router is the problem, check it.

If you have for no reason disconnection, maybe you should switch back to wpa-supplicant- How is explained in our manual,
search there for IWD, in the Network section.

I do have a usb dongle for a wireless mouse that I'm not currently using. I'll unplug it for a while and see if that is what is causing it. If not I'll try the IWD switch

Do you always use the same usb-port for this dongle (or other usb-devices)?
I have the following behaviour on my laptop: when I mount an usb-stick in the port on the right side, wifi disconnects, when I use the port on the left side, wifi stays connected. I didn`t research the reason for this behaviour further.

With "normal" usb devices, like a stick or speakers, I do not have any troubles. No disconnections.

But with the bluetooth-dongle, I will test it later on different ports.
