Title: SimpleAudioPlayer
Post by: sunrat on 2014/11/17, 04:10:49
I'm just trying SimpleAudioPlayer, it seems reliable and is very light. It probably won't be a contender as it's not in the Debian repos and I don't know who to contact to suggest it.
I've been using QMMP and Deadbeef for basic music playing, but it's nice to have a KDE specific player.
I recklessly installed the latest buntu .deb with dpkg. Figured it would either work or not, and it did.

Have you looked at bangarang?  It wants to use the nepomuk database, but it work fine without it -- just ignore the warning when you start it.

Tried that a while back but uninstalled again. It was too long ago to remember why.

They don't come much simpler than Audacious or lighter than moc.
