Dein Prozessor ist schon sehr alt (2010) und nach
<https://github.com/ValveSoftware/csgo-osx-linux/issues/3293>
unterstützt er den neueren SSE4 instruction Set nicht mehr in vollem
Umfang.

Wenn in den letzten Tagen krdc selbst oder eine verwendete shared library
einen Update erhalten hat (mit einer nicht unterstützten Instruktion), dann
würde dies das Verhalten erklären (Auf neueren Systemen ist der Absturz
jedenfalls nicht zu beobachten).

Was sagen denn die letzten Zeilen von dmesg nach dem Absturz?

Today I started the system again into a horrible light-theme mess, I couldn't re-enable the dark theme anymore (it was actually already enabled but not showing as black, and toggling off-on didn't help), plus several gnome utilities became extremely slow to start (file explorer, settings, document viewer, text editor) or barely responsive (like, a few minutes delay to start, or won't start unless randomly, piggybacking another non-gnome application that I had just started; like gnome terminal).

I pulled updates again today a few times, to no avail, Gnome seems lost  :'(

ich suche einen neuen Webhoster für meine kleine private Homepage und meine Mini-Business-Seite da ich mit meinem derzeitigen Anbieter nicht mehr zufrieden bin.
Je nach Testseite im Internet findet man die unterschiedlichsten Anbieter auf den vorderen Plätzen. Wie sind da eure Erfahrungen? Könnt ihr einen Anbieter empfehlen? Im Moment habe ich mir die Anbieter manitu.de, dogado.de, lima-city.de und all-inkl.com in den engeren Kreis gefasst.

Von den Anbietern, die du dir rausgesucht hast, ist all-inkl.com echt eine beliebte Wahl, vor allem für kleine Seiten. Sie bieten gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und zuverlässigen Support. manitu.de ist auch gut, besonders wenn du auf Nachhaltigkeit und Datenschutz Wert legst. dogado.de und lima-city.de sind ebenfalls solide, aber da könnte der Support manchmal nicht so flott sein. Am besten mal schauen, was du wirklich brauchst, z.B. Speicherplatz und Traffic, und dann entscheiden.

Nein. Hab ich auf noch keiner Installation machen müssen. Versuche ich aber nun.

Ich habe das bis jetzt noch nicht gemacht, weil es mir wichtiger erscheint zu klären, warum in der neuen Installation etwas nicht funktioniert was in meiner jahrealten klappt.

Auffällig bei meinen Nachforschungen ist:

In meinem funktionierenden Hauptsystem sagt "$ inxi -G"

In der problematischen Neuinstallation gibt es einen wesentlichen Unterschied (ich kann das nicht komplett posten):

... unloaded: fbdev, vesa dri: nouveau gpu nvidia

In meinem funktionierenden system is nouveau nicht geblacklistet, bzw. geschieht das über nvidia. Die entsprechenden links gibt es auch im fehlerhaften system. Aber irgendwo muß da doch ein unterschiedliches setting sein was dieses "dri: nouveau" verursacht?


EDIT2:

Auch mit geblacklistetem nouveau (inkl. erneuertem initramfs) klappt das nicht.

Merkwürdig dass im Errorlog dennoch steht (sinngemäß):
modul "nouveau" not loaded, modul does not exist (obwohl es ja garnicht geladen werden soll)

UND

modul "nv" not loaded, modul does not exist (obwohl der (wiederholt ausgeführte) modulbau fehlerfrei durchläuft).
