Hallo,

dieses Problem hatte ich bisher nie. Darum bin ich ratlos. Ich bin zwar nicht ein totaler DAU, aber meine Grundkenntnisse (insbes. Terminalbefhle) sind eher dürftig. Erst recht in Sachen grub und efi.
Die erweiterte FoSU habe ich bemüht, aber nichts gefunden. Womöglich habe ich etwas übersehen.

Vorabinfo:
Die Iso habe ich mit dd geschrieben. Checksum war ok, Live System lief reibungslos.
Multiboot mit Artix und MX.
UEFI sollte lt. Handbuch ja automatisch (ohne explizite Auswahl durch User) gefunden werden.

Aktueller Status:
Ich kopierte den Efi Ordner von der Iso einfach mal in die bestehende Installation nach
/run/media/me/SiduRoot/boot/efi

Jetzt kommt eine dumme Frage:
Würde es funktionieren, wenn ich dann den Eintrag im efibootmgr manuell eintrage? Und wie wäre ggflss. der korrekte Eintrag?

Wichtig ist mir, dass ich beim Booten ein Auswahlmenü mit den anderen Distris bekomme. Menuentry und andere Distris werden ja gefunden. Was ich nur nie checke, welches Bootmenü nach einer Neuinstallation genutzt wird und ob und wie ich das steuern kann.

Ich danke für die Aufmerksamkeit und freue mich über Lösungsvorschläge.

So ich habe einfach mal das versucht.

Keine Wirkung. Bei Restart wurde kein Eintrag gefunden. Entweder stimmt  der Pfad nicht, oder ich bin mit meiner Therorie einfach auf dem Holzweg.

Was ich noch machte:
Ich versuchte noch mal eine Neuinstallation. Dieses mal habe ich aber die efi Partition explizit eingehängt.
Auch habe ich versucht, indem ich bootflag bei / setzte. Immer kam der Hinweis auf die efi Partition.

Im Handbuch steht ja nichts davon, dass man die Efi manuell einhängen muss. Daher machte ich das beim 1. Versuch nicht.
Aber auch bei vorherigem manuellem Einhängen klappt es nicht.

Was mir erst jetzt wie Schuppen von den Augen fiel.
Siduction fordert eine Efi Partition von mindestens 300 MB, meine ist aber nur 250 MB. Vergrößern kann ich die nicht. Zumindest nicht ohne riesen Aufwand und Risiko, da ich alle nachfogenden Partitionen nach hinten verschieben müsste.

Keine Ahnung, ob und wie man siduction überreden kann, auch eine 250 MB Efi zu akzeptieren.

Du kannst mal folgendes versuchen:

• Live-ISO booten
• Als root in der Datei /etc/calamares/modules/partition.conf folgenden Wert einkommentieren und anpassen:
  efiSystemPartitionSize: 250M
• Installation ganz normal starten.

Das könnte funktionieren, final getestet hab ich es aber nicht. Keine Garantie also, dass hinterher nicht deine EFI-Partition brennt. ;-)

Nachtrag:

Ich hab auf einem Testsystem mit bestehender 500MB EFI-Partition den Wert in der Calamares Config mal auf 550M gesetzt. Calamares hat das dann entsprechend bemängelt. Von daher gehe ich davon aus, dass es bei dir funktioniert.
Aber: 250MB sind echt wenig. Achte darauf, dass dir die Partition nicht volläuft! Ich würde, wenn du den Plattenplatz hast und dauerhaft mehrere Distributionen nutzen willst, die EFI-Partition auf 1GB vergrößern. Better safe than sorry.

Aktuell werden von den 250 MiB nur 4,26 genutzt = 2%.
So rein interessehalber. Warum will Siduction da eine höhere Mindestgröße?

Ach, Denkfehler. Die Kernel liegen ja in /boot und nicht in /boot/efi. Vergiss somit alles, was ich zu den Partitionsgrößen erzählt habe - sorry!

Die 300MB sind nicht Siductions Idee, sondern der Standardwert bei Calamares (dem Installer). Woher der Wert konkret kommt, weiß ich nicht. Aber bissl rumsuchen liefert folgende Anhaltspunkte:
- es gibt keine Mindestgröße, aber FAT32 hat eine rechnerische Mindestgröße von knapp unter 32MB.
- Microsoft empfiehlt 100MB. Die gehen aber von nur einem OS aus, klar.
- FAT32 zu vergrößern ist eklig, daher lieber nicht am falschen Ende sparen.

Meine Vermutung:
Die Werte irgendwo im niedrigen bis mittleren dreistelligen MB-Bereich haben sich eingependelt, weil Distributions-Entwickler keinen Bock mehr auf Beschwerden von Multi-Boot-Usern hatten. Und da Speicherplatz in der Größenordnung eh quasi nix kostet, hat man gleich großzügig kalkuliert.

Es funktioniert leider nicht. Zwar werden jetzt natürlich die 250 M Efi akzeptiert aber nun will Calamares die efi-Partition neu formatieren Dann habe ich natürlich abgebrochen.
Zwar ist mein Englisch nicht sehr gut, aber einen Eintrag, die Neupartitionierung zu verhindern, konnte ich in der partiton.conf nicht finden.

Was ich auch nicht verstehe und mir erst jetzt auffällt.
Er soll nicht die efi 0n1p1 ersetzt werden.

Es soll wohl eine neue Partition auf nvme0n1 also ohne P erstellt werden. Und zwar satte 28795 MiB.
Ist das nicht die komplette Festplatte?

Partitionstabelleneinträge sind nicht in Festplatten-Reihenfolge.

Für mich klingen die Angaben von Calamares nicht nachvollziehbar und verwirrend.

Verständnisfrage:
Für mich klingt es so, als würde er die Platte komplett neu formatieren (0n1), die Partitionen 0n1p6 aber beibehalten (laut GPT und UUID?), bzw. formatieren und /home setzen und auf der neu formatierten 0n1 /Root installieren.
Und dann eine eigene /boot/efi anlegen? Was jedoch nicht als solches angegeben wird.

Nun gut, ich habe es nochmals versucht, leider ohne Erfolg.
Da Calamares anscheinend /boot/efi neu anlegen will, ist mir das zu heiß.
Ich habe es mal ohne efi installiert, was natürlich nichts bringt, wenn ich nicht im CSM Modus bin.

Schade, dann verwerfe ich es, Siduction zu installieren.
