There is no configuration file in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/.

That's what I found so far.

EDIT: When booted into the new kernel, lsmod shows there is no nvidia module.

Nope, I've got a clean install of the farewell CD right after it's release and did a d-u every second day and got no offer to install Nvidia-driver 470.63.01.

Whats wrong? Do I have to add something to the sources?
Thank you very much.

This looks like a new topic -- I suggest you post it under "Software".

Question #1: Can you log into a tty console?

Yes I think you are right- it should be a new topic, and yes, I can login at a tty. Starting X from there as a normal user leads to the same. As root also...

And today it is a mess because I have a lot of work, brrrr

I would have never been able to troubleshoot the issue based on the output in the Xorg.0.log.  :P
