Wintel cx-w8
« on: 2016/01/28, 09:51:42 »

I've been trying to install  "Siduction" on the Wintel cx-w8.
It works only on Live phase, but  the sound doesn't work.
I haven't been able to install it.
If anyone can help, it would be wonderful.

Did you read this?  It appears there is no support for the HDMI audio -- can you run

Code: [Select]
lspci

and post the line that shows the audio chip?

OK.  The Linux kernel does not see any audio chip on that system.  I'm no audio expert, but putting that together with the comment about no HDMI support from Linux, I'm guessing that it was designed to use HDMI output exclusively.  Google searches turn up other frustrated Linux users, but no solutions:

It looks like it could be a reasonable NAS server or something like that where you don't care about audio.  I have not come across any indication that anyone is developing a Linux HDMI audio driver for it, so don't hold your breath.
