Hello,
I did play with siduction on my old desktop machine and old netbook, which had/has some booting-related problems.
In September, I bought a new Tuxedo Infinity laptop as a desktop replacement and replaced Tuxedo OS with openSUSE Tumbleweed. Tried using it with GNOME, KDE and Xfce, but always was something missing or not working properly. Most of the issues were related to properly configure my laptop connected to an external display via docking station…
I'm using Linux (started with S.u.S.E) back in 1999 after finally abandoning OS2 ship. Spent time with Gentoo, Arch…a bit of Fedora etc. but then spent most of the time with Debian/Xfce - mostly using Sid.
So, I thought to give siduction another try...Few times I tried with "stable" (bookworM), was always missing some app not available via backports. Otoh, it is great to have rollback support when using Sid and I like Debian. Now, everything working flawlessly...I'll post about a few glitches in other posts - I can login to my machine from DM (SDDM) by using an external monitor, which was not possible under Tumbleweed (GDM, LightDM, SDDM).
All in all, kudos to siduction devs - it's the best Linux experience ever!!!
I wish to receive your blessing to end my distro hopping, stay with siduction and possibly give something back in return,.
Sincerely,
Gour
Edit: I've installed siduction/xfce from the latest image.
