https://release.debian.org/transitions/html/xserver1.15.html

Wow, it looks like most of the work remains to be is done for amd64 and i386.  This transition may take some time.

(I forgot to refresh the URL -- now I see that it is mostly done.)

What is the advice for nvidia binary blob users -- do we still need to wait for that task?

Due to the slow-motion mode my mouse went to over days ago on my siduction install, I  made a d-u right now.
Everything went fine. Seems the battery has to be exchanged or?

If you're using the nvidia 331 package provided by the sidcution repo, it will be okay since 331.38 supports Xserver 1.15. I just upgraded and rebooted myself using said blob.

Just downloading for a d-u, nothing to be removed on my system any more, for now?

Before d-u:
Code: [Select]
Graphics:  Card: NVIDIA GT218M [NVS 3100M] bus-ID: 01:00.0
           X.Org: 1.14.5 drivers: nouveau (unloaded: fbdev,vesa) Resolution: 1440x900@60.1hz
GLX Renderer: Gallium 0.4 on NVA8 GLX Version: 3.0 Mesa 9.2.2 Direct Rendering: Yes

After d-u, everything works fine:
Code: [Select]
Graphics:  Card: NVIDIA GT218M [NVS 3100M] bus-ID: 01:00.0
           X.Org: 1.15.0 drivers: nouveau (unloaded: fbdev,vesa) Resolution: 1440x900@60.1hz
GLX Renderer: Gallium 0.4 on NVA8 GLX Version: 3.0 Mesa 9.2.2 Direct Rendering: Yes
