Nala update disables full-upgrade by default
« on: 2023/10/12, 01:37:19 »
Hi all,

I just updated nala and the latest version is adding a "full_upgrade = false" in the config file.

From what I understand from https://manual.siduction.org/sys-admin-apt_en.html#run-full-upgrade on Siduction, running "full-upgrade" is preferred over "upgrade". In that case does it mean new users should change "full_upgrade = true" in the config file?

See here the changelog: https://metadata.ftp-master.debian.org/changelogs//main/n/nala/nala_0.14.0_changelog

Thanks,

Radu

The option "full_upgrade = " is new in nala 0.14.0 config file.
We recommend setting it to "true" as described in the manual.

Additionally, please set the option "auto_remove = false".
