[EN] Search in forum
« on: 2012/01/04, 11:26:30 »
Just a little thing.

When I search the forum I nearly always search with more than one word, very often I forgot to check in the,  Search for all terms, then I have to redo my search and first wait the time to be able to search again.

I don't know but I would guess that most of the searches are with more than one word and if it is so I suggest that the, Search for all terms, would be checked by default if it's possible

On our new website we will use a different forum software (Kunena) where it does not matter, if you enter 1 searchterm or more.

Would it be possible than, to allow/start at least 2 searches at a time? That would be fine.

I dont think, i understand that one. 2 searches at the same time? that sounds like listening to 2 radiostations simultaniously. Without the correct drugs that can damage the brain :)

he he he. I do it often in the night, but have to remind how. No in real: I sometimes get a message; Ihave to remind. Might be, when a search is done directly after another or so.

@mylo, yes, you just have to wait a little. This is a precaution against attacks on the forum server.

What I think mylo want is to be able to search two times directly after each other without the time delay. Often when you don't have your native language to search in it's not so easy to find the right word to search for and it's very frustrating to have to wait this half a minute or whatever it is because you used the wrong word to to search for the first time.  If it's the first or second search which triggers the time delay would probably not matter for security or?

Exact and nothing more. I understand the precaution against threads, but may be this can be increased from 2 to 3 or something else.

vilde, thanks for understanding me in a situation, where I could not remind how/what it was.
