[DE] googleearth nach wie vor nicht installierbar

Hallo,

ich habe gerade mal wieder versucht, google-earth auf meiner siduction Installation zum Laufen zu bekommen.

Wenn ich das 32 Bit Paket von googleearth herunter lade und installiere, wird ein fehlendes lsb-core angemäkelt. Möchte ich dann ein lsb-core:i386 installieren, soll unter anderem der Kernel und andere wichtige Programme entfernt werden.

Der Debian-Maintainer von googleearth-package hat offenbar noch nicht begriffen, dass in Debian Sid nun multiarch angesagt ist. Das Paket googleearth-package baut nämlich ein amd64 Paket, und ein googleearth-package:i386 ist nicht verfügbar.

So etwas ist einfach Mist.

Hat jemand erfolgreich googleearth unter siduction laufen?

Du könntest versuchen ein 32bit siduction in einer virtuellen maschine zu installieren, und dort das 32bit googlearth deb zu bauen. möglicherweise kannst Du dieses deb dann in multiarch 64bit installieren.

Also ich habs vor ca. 10 Wochen unter amd64 siduction installiert und es läuft problemlos. Wenn ich mich recht entsinne, bin ich folgendermaßen vorgegangen: i386 multiarch aktivieren, Paket bauen mit make-googleearth-package, installieren mit dpkg -i blabla, etliche i386 Pakete installieren mit apt-get -f install, händisch ein paar libs nachinstallieren wie libQtWebKit. lsb-core gibts bei mir, lsb-core:i386 aber nicht.

Bei mir sieht es folgendermaßen aus:

1. Installation des Pakets von make-google-earth:
Funktioniert, allerdings wird da eine uralte Version installiert.

2. 32-Bit Paket von Google:
Beim "apt-get -f install" sollen einige Pakete entfernt werden

3. 64-Bit Paket von Google:
Installation funktioniert, GE lässt sich starten, es werden aber keine Texturen angezeigt, man sieht lediglich die Grenzlinien auf einer komplett transparenten Erde.

System: 64 Bit mit Intel-Grafik (Sandy Bridge)

danke für die Antworten. Ich werde wohl aber auf Googleearth erst einmal verzichten, weil ich mein System nicht ruinieren möchte. Das von googleearth gebaute amd64 Paket könnte ich zwar installieren, das apt-get -f install würde mir aber einige ia32-libs auf den PC holen. Da ich auch multiarch aktiviert habe, kann das wohl aber bei weiteren Aktualisierungen Schwierigkeiten geben.

Die ia32-libs sind ok, das sind transitional-Pakete, die beissen nicht.

towo said if you make a 32-bit googleearth package, it should work.  But, for 64-bit systems with Nvidia graphics, it still looks pretty bad:

nach dem Lesen von Ferdis Post habe ich mich doch getraut, und ich habe es installiert bekommen. Eigenartig ist, dass es das amd64 Paket ist, was von googleearth-package gebaut wurde. Da das ia32-libs Zeugs in Debian Sid nur dummy Pakete sind, ist das wohl auch ungefährlich.

Mal sehen, wie sauber die nächsten Aktualisierungen durch laufen.

@dibl: Thanks for your test with googleearth. Curiously I've now installed on my 64 Bit siduction the googleearth amd64 package, built by googleearth-package in debian. Okay, this version is a little bit old.

With the new googleearth version you're right. It isn't installable because of lsb-core stuff, essential packages like the kernel would be removed.
