Title: Reportbug don't identify siduction
Post by: Mte90 on 2017/01/13, 15:22:21
I opened a ticket on debian for a bug in a package and reportbug identify my computer as ubuntu.
I don't know if it is easy to fix or edit the package version for siduction to use the right detection but in that want we don't need to fix it manually the ticket before to sent.

and thats a fine thing - derivatives bugs in the debian bugtracker are mostly a bad idea. Btw. my siduction is identified as debian.

I agree that can be a bad idea but in my case was a bug in a package of debian and not of siduction one.

Not a bad idea - but some maintainers are a little bit picky about such bugs - usual answer: this is a bug in @derivative, not in debian, use their bugtracker - even if the bug is clearly in debian.

What gives "cat /etc/debian_version" ? My system gives me "stretch/sid". I don't know it but expect reportbug will check this file.
