Title: Use indiansummer or paintitblack for new install?
Post by: mithat on 2016/03/12, 19:37:44
I need to install siduction on a dual-boot UEFI laptop. Am I better off starting with paintitblack (still in development) or indiansummer (rather old)?

Is it possible to upgrade from Indiansummer to Paintitblack without reinstalling. Is not most if not all of the software upgraded during a D-U already at the Paintitblack level anyway? I would like to just bring an older distribution up to the newer level can it be done, if so how?  :-[

Regards, Tom

That depends a lot on the desktop environment. Xfce should be no problem, KDE will need some manual intervention. On the others your mileage may vary.
