Maybe the fun has already started with the new samba package that came with a d-u today:

I think you are correct quord.  Today, after d-u, I caught winbindd eating 12.5MB of memory, for no reason that I could find.  I'm not sure why I had winbind installed, but I don't need it to interface with my Windows VMs, so I removed it.
