[EN] Xfce updates?

(1/2) > >>

vilde:
Yesterday I did a D-U, got some problem with loosing x, rebooted, no x, could do ctrl+alt+F5 and was able to continue the D_U with "dpkg --configure -a". Then the D-U was finished and I could start up normally.

I must admit that there where 4  packages that was removed, I was to lazy to check but went on with the D-U, maybe that caused the problem?

Anyway I first found out that "Orage" the xfce calendar (in the panel) was gone and not install-able, then I found another calendar "Date Time", it looks mostly like "Orage" so it's maybe a new version  or something?
Then I also found that the behavior or maybe only the look in Tunar (file-manager) when connecting a USB-storage.

So is there some major or smaller updates to XFCE? More to come? or was it only some coincidence  and because I was lazy?

You know that Xfce was upgraded to new Releease 4.16 lately?
Obviously orage and some more programs have not made for that yet.

regards
Reiner

There is a fresh image up with Xfce 4.16. I had to take out orage and xfce4-equake-plugin before it would build.
