Take a look at xombrero. It's somewhat similar to Midori, but I think it handles some sites better. It is in the repos. For further info, checkout the official site (https://opensource.conformal.com/wiki/xombrero).

so xombrero finally has found a new maintainer in debian. That's good news.
Last year (when i looked for a browser for our cinnamon release) xombrero was largely unmaintained and has not seen any package updates for 18 months between spring 2012 and autumn 2013. Then only few updates in 2014 (two updates alone in september) just enough to prevent removal in the freeze phase of jessie.
okay, I will give it a shot, i cant resist to try its vi-like keyboard commands ;)

Recently read about the Liri browser in Linux Voice. It's still a bit rough around the edges and the deb didn't seem to install correctly, but the browser may hold promise for the future.
