new flashplayer available v11.x.x.400

so go, download and install
http://get.adobe.com/de/flashplayer/
or wait for the Debian maintainer catching up.
Ok, you can't code, but you still might be able to write a bug report for Debian's sake

If you and all people reading your advice *know* how to find out it has been released (as you call it) and then know how to update, then that's fine.

Thanks, michaa. It is officially released by Adobe: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

I think the main feature of the updateflashplugin script is md5 check. I update manually since I would rather have known security exploits fixed as soon as possible than worry about a data transmission error. You can always download twice and compare md5sums if being paranoid.

These are the md5sums I got:
Code: [Select]
78f56e5bb90ae1756a425f46534bcedd  install_flash_player_11_linux.x86_64.tar.gz
1f1d9b3123f17998241872ad8ed465c5  install_flash_player_11_linux.i386.tar.gz

As for Pepper Flash, still waiting on 14.0.0.177 to show up in Linux Chrome beta...

After the Debian maintainer did test the package and upgrade his md5 file, yes.
