Hi,

nach dem heutigen Dist-Upgrade (alles aktuell inkl. neuester Kernel und Perl 5.12) kann ich den Mauszeiger in KDE weder über das Touchpad meines HP Pavilion Notebooks noch über die angeschlossene USB Maus steuern. Beides hat vorher immer einwandfrei funktioniert. USB Sticks beispielsweise werden noch richtig erkannt. Hat jemand einen Tipp?

Ich rate mal ins Blaue:

rm -rf /run

Dann wirds sicher wieder gehen.

Ansonsten fehlen für's Nichtraten alle relevanten Infos.
Ich gehe nicht zum Karneval, ich verleihe nur manchmal mein Gesicht.

Danke für den Vorschlag, aber leider hat es nicht geholfen.
Es handelt sich um eine kabelgebundene Logitech USB Maus vom Typ NX 50, die seit sidux 2008-02 an diesem Notebook (HP Pavilion dv 6700) in der KDE 64-bit Version läuft. Aktueller Kernel 2.6.38-5.slh.3-aptosid-amd64 x86_64. Eine kabellose Logitech M505 Maus läuft ebenso nicht, das eingbaute Touchpad auch nicht. Welche Infos fehlen noch?

Hallo

Erstaunlicherweise funktioniert die Maus in run level 3 über gpm in der Konsole.

Das Problem besteht nur in run level 5 in KDE: Der Mauszeiger steht fest in der Mitte des Bildschirms und reagiert nicht auf Bewegungen der Maus.

Funktioniert die Maus in einem anderen DE/WM, wie zum Beispiel Fluxbox?

Kann ich leider nicht beantworten, weil ich im KDE Anmeldemanager ohne Maus nur Benutzernamen und Passwort eingeben kann, aber nicht das Dropdown Menü öffnen kann, in dem normalerweise auf Fluxbox umgestellt wird.

Aus der Konsole heraus kann ich fluxbox ebenfalls nicht starten; Fehlermeldung: "Couldn't connect to X server".

Leider funktionieren weder Maus noch Touchpad in Fluxbox.

Erstmal Hardware testen: Vielleicht, oh Zufall, ist genau zum Zeitpunkt des DU etwas kaputt geganen:

Einfach mal eine Live-CD starten, Maus probieren ....
Wenn Das geht, dann in dem Live System

lsmod >>/media/usbStickPartition/lsmod-Live-System.liste

mit der Liste Deines Systems vergleichen. Machmal werden bei neueren Kernels pci-ids falsch gestrickt: Sprich ein neu hinzugekommenes Modul erkennt sich vor Deiner Maus und nimmt Ihr den Platz sozusagen weg. Das war bei mir mit wlan: wl.ko wurde zwar geladen, aber bluetooth Module hatten sich im Stack davor in die Reihenfolge eingeklinkt.

Die USB Maus und das Touchpad gehen einwandfrei, z.B. unter Ubuntu und Vista auf demselben Notebook.
