Password (Solved)
« on: 2021/09/16, 01:14:01 »
Just installed farewell on my 17 year old i386. Never had a problem with previous installs. Will not accept "live" as password no matter what. It knows if I have caps lock on. I noticed there have been password problems.  Is there any way to display the characters? How about some suggestions.

Officially there are no i386-Iso's.
Look in the manual.   ;)

After installation, there is no user with password "live" anymore.

I downloaded farewell i386 on another computer and burned to a DVD since the laptop has a CD/DVD drive.

I then booted up the laptop from the DVD successfully.

I then chose install siduction from CD/DVD screen.

It then goes through the boot sequence from the DVD.

I then get request for a login and password which I enter.

I then get an error stating the password "live" is not correct.

The laptop had a fully updated straight sid on it.

just to remind a poster that debian i386 is still alive and well at debian and if siduction can't handle it, then remove the packages.

Do you want pretty pictures?

Do I understand right?

You installed siduction on real hardware and forgotten the password you choose during installation?

The user 'siducer' with the password 'live' only exist on live systems not after an installation, there you have to choose a username and a new password on your own, the installer ask you for!
