Title: Network speed incredible low
Post by: mash on 2018/06/03, 22:17:54
Hi all,
I am having a problem with network speed.
+Upgraded to fibraoptica (300Mps - both directions)
+actually Receiving 2-5 upload 5MB/sec
The router has a wifi with 2.4 GHz up to 80 MB/sec
and a 5 Ghz Band with 300
Ok, my networkadapter is not capable of 5GHZ
But my Gigabit Ethernet
is just giving me less than 5 GBit/sec with a cable.

Strange things attached: There is a TV-box from provider. If I shut it off network is incredibly slow.
Network is only working with this device turned on. It is connected to router with a cable. TV is connected via HDMI to that device. Any ideas?

Hi mash,
Probably looks like a DNS problem. Have you ever tried other name servers?
You need to connect all devices on the local network to a switch / hub and then the switch on the router.
