[EN] Bad Labwc Upgrade
« on: 2024/12/31, 23:50:14 »
Labwc just upgraded to 0.8.2-1. After a log out/in it failed to start and froze at lightdm forcing a power cycle and then log into X.

Xfce4 with Labwc.

Figured it out. The update overwrote the /usr/share/wayland-sessions/labwc.desktop file. I created a separate one to start xfce4 and labwc together so this doesn't happen again on the next update.

Edit the Exec line to read: Exec=startxfce4 --wayland

This will start xfce4 with labwc as it's default compositor.
