Author Topic: [DE] Siduction multi boot mit Mint, Arch, OpenSuse und Peppermint  (Read 2389 times)

Hallo zusammen,


vorsichtshalber frage ich, bevor ich alles "zerschieße", da ich mich noch nicht so richtig mit Linux auskenne, hoffe ich bin hier richtung und es ist in Ordnung.


Ich habe ein recht altes Notebook und möchte nun Siduction ausprobieren, ich habe eine leere primäre Partition (ca. 40gb ntfs ehem. Windows) und eine erweiterte Partition auf der alle oben genannten Distros liegen.


Kann ich jetzt einfach die ntfs löschen und auf diese Siduction installieren, erkennt der Installer/GRUB alle anderen Distros nach er Installation oder gibt es ein seperates wiki dazu, wie ich vorgehen muss und was ich beachten muss? Ich frage zur Sicherheit, weil bei manchen habe ich da ganz andere Erfahrungen gemacht.

If you install siduction to MBR,  it  *should* see your other linux partitions, but, even *if by some unknown chance it don't, you can post here, or irc and many people can get you up and running.

@lernalot - die Partition brauchst Du nicht löschen, einfach überformatieren reicht. Rest sollte automatisch gehen, ich würde dann aber einen kleinen Kunstgriff empfehlen: grub.cfg einmal erstellen lassen und die durch grub verwalteten Installationen in eine Kopie der /etc/grub.d/40_custom packen - und auf die Kernellinks umstellen. Ansonsten wird das mit grub-updates und kernelupdates etwas haarig. Andere Variante: Die restlichen Distributionen per chainload einbinden.

I too was going to mention a 40_custom, but, decided that could be done after the install  ;)
