Title: Update broke encryptfs mount
Post by: Kan on 2018/05/26, 16:29:23
Update broke my encryptfs mount. If you are using encryptfs to encrypt your home drive, ecryptfs-mount-private fails to mount the ecryptfs after reboot.

I found a fix in this bug report; https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ecryptfs-utils/+bug/1718658 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ecryptfs-utils/+bug/1718658)

Hit ctrl+alt+f1 and follow #26 in the link above;

I had the same problem with Debian.
 The workaround I used is creating a link from the key to the keyring
keyctl link @u @s
