I am trying to add a second monitor to my system. I already have a Fujitsu P23T-6 1920x1080 and now I try to add a Philips Brilliande 200p LCD 1600x1200.
The system boots and use both displays, but the highest resolution available for the Philips monitor is 1024x768. I've tried to boot with only the Philips monitor attaches, but it still use only 1024x768.

I believe the radeon driver is in use, as I see this in Xorg.0.log

Hello effo,

HDMI-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
You can try to connect your second display to your HDMI interface with a passive adaptor (hdmi to single-link DVI).
This will not work with dual-link DVI displays, though.
I found this nice matrix of possible combinations (http://www.heise.de/ct/hotline/Anschluss-Kuddelmuddel-entwirren-DVI-HDMI-DisplayPort-2500979.html) (german, "mit PA" means "with Passive Adaptor").
greetings

Thanks! A HDMI -> DVI cable did the trick!
