[EN] Laptop doesn't wake up from suspend
« on: 2016/03/16, 11:29:14 »
Hi,
when I suspend a session the laptop doesn't wake up again.
Sometimes the mousepointer is visible on a black screen but doesn't react.
The only chance to get it running is to shut it off using the power switch and restart.

I tried it with external and built in keyboard devices - several times
Code: [Select]
inxi
CPU~Dual core Intel Core i5-4210U (-HT-MCP-) speed/max~1696/2700 MHz Kernel~4.5.0-towo.1-siduction-amd64 x86_64 Up~1:23 Mem~1102.0/7915.3MB HDD~1000.2GB(3.7% used) Procs~200 Client~Shell inxi~2.2.33
I also have another laptop with the same/similar installation (except for hardware) and there it's working as expected.

The most notable difference is that the Laptop in question doesn't support the built in touchpad.
Thanks
when it was hard to write it should be hard to read

I have this with my desktop PC but always, have to hit the reset switch to revive it. . I've posted this in German already but didn't get an answer.

I've turned that off. Screen should go black after 15 minutes but it never does. There is something broken with power saving. I'm running Gnome.
