Plasma 5.24.2 moving to unstable
« on: 2022/02/27, 06:32:18 »
Last night, Plasma 5.24.2 moved to unstable. I had a little quirk, when updating this morning:
Code: [Select]
Errors occured when processing:
 /tmp/apt-dpkg-install-Mfob73/03-plasma-workspace-data_4%3a5.24.2-1_all.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Running
Code: [Select]
apt -f install followed by a 2nd run of
Code: [Select]
apt full-upgrade fixed it for me.
---
Letzte Nacht wurde Plasma 5.24.2 nach Unstable geladen. Heute morgen hatte ich einen kleinen Hänger beim Aktualisieren:
Quote
Fehler traten auf beim Bearbeiten von:
 /tmp/apt-dpkg-install-Mfob73/03-plasma-workspace-data_4%3a5.24.2-1_all.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
Ein
Code: [Select]
apt -f install mit anschließendem zweitem
Code: [Select]
apt full-upgrade löste den Knoten.

Baaah -- It would not go through on my old HP laptop, it is still hung. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, no more DUs here.

EDIT: 3 hours later, and a full-upgrade worked correctly (2 machines). 140 packages upgraded, 13 newly installed, 1 to remove.

HOWEVER, after rebooting both machines, a few seconds after reaching the graphical target, network manager popped up a warning that although a network device was found, there was no internet found. I'm editing this post from one of the machines -- they both have the usual wired ethernet connection working correctly. These are Intel CPUs and network chips:

Code: [Select]
$ inxi -N
Network:
  Device-1: Intel Ethernet I219-V driver: e1000e

So, I dunno what that is all about.
