for a couple of hours I had zero packages to be removed. now  python-apt, reportbug-ng are to be removed.
but i am not sure, whether these are related to the kde problems or whether this is by chance.

hi all,

back again in init 5. An

Code: [Select]
apt-get install -s   kde-plasma-desktop kdeconnect kinfocenter kwin-addons libpowerdevilcore2 plasma-desktop plasma-widgets-addons plasma-workspace powerdevil

looked good today and an
Code: [Select]
apt-get install
made it. So everything working fine again.

it seems the du went through fine, but some icons in the systray and control panel (or how this is called) became quite small.
some of them I use quite often, so this is not so nice.
Is there a solution to this?

The sddm theme is broken now. The configuration module for sddm does not have any themes to configure despite them being installed.

Here is the bug:
https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/682

If you want back the sddm_kcm feature, you have to downgrade sddm

Code: [Select]
LANG=C apt policy sddm
sddm:
  Installed: 0.13.0-1
  Candidate: 0.14.0-1~siduction.1
  Version table:
     0.14.0-1~siduction.1 500
        500 https://packages.siduction.org/extra unstable/main amd64 Packages
        500 http://ftp.uni-stuttgart.de/siduction/extra unstable/main amd64 Packages
 *** 0.13.0-1 500
        500 http://ftp.debian.de/debian unstable/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Code: [Select]
apt install <foo>=<version>
apt-mark hold <foo>

Or wait till it is fixed.

or try as root
Code: [Select]
~$:su --> pw --> dbus-launch systemsettings5 &
dont know if this works for you.

You need to show the full output of

Code: [Select]
apt update && apt full-upgrade
libnih1 : Depends: libc6

Thanks <piper> for the quick reply.
An apt update and apt full-upgrade does not show any package to be removed now. Only _gwneview_  and _kspapshot_ have been kept back. I suppose that this is not a problem.
