[EN] Log out Dialog
« on: 2012/06/01, 13:32:03 »
In the top bar, at right it is the icon Log Out Dialog.
How can I change this icon?
Where is (carpet/place) the icon?
I know I can edit /usr/share/applications and change icons in the line where icon is but I can not find where the top bar Log Out Dialog icon (dark-grey uggly) is
Regards

We're going to have know more about your system to offer good help:

- which desktop environment?
- which version of siduction?

In general, your icons are in /usr/share/applications, and you can edit the properties if you wish.  The link from there to your desktop menu is different for different flavors, IIRC.

I'm not skilled at customizing XFCE, but it looks like there is guidance on icon configuration about halfway down this page: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xfce#Replacements_for_the_default_.27menu.27_panel_applet

The green guy in the door is the default xfce logout icon.

What I did on my xfce desktop was to make a second panel, docked at the bottom of the screen. If I right-click it, and choose "Panel Preferences", then on the dialog there is a tab named "Items".  On that tab I can add or remove icons, and the logout icon is one of the "action" icons that you can add.  So I have the logout icon on Panel 2, and that is where I log out or shutdown the system.  On my system, Panel 1 is a conventional "taskbar" style panel, with the desktop switcher, wicd, battery charge, etc. on it.

I don't know if that answers your question, but it is my way to set up xfce with a logout icon.
