[DE] Systematik der Siduktion Kernels

Gerade hatten einige von uns Boot--Probleme mit Kernel 4.18.10-towo.2, Dagegen lief 4.18.10-towo.1 einwandfrei.
Als Unterschied nannte Towo:

The only change between 4.18.10-towo.1 and 4.18.10-towo.2 is patch-4.18.11-rc1

Ist es grundsätzlich so, dass towo.1 der stabile Kernel-Release ist und die towo.2-ff Release Candidate-Versionen sind?
Wäre es dann sinnvoll, als Anwender die towo.2-ff-Versionen grundsätzlich zu überspringen?
Liesse sich 'linux-image-siduction-amd64' entsprechen konfigurieren?

Einige mehr als nur einige.

Patch bedeutet im übrigen nicht, da sei nur 1 Sache gefixt worden. Du kannst ja mal [PATCH 4.18 00/88] 4.18.11-stable review durchgehen.
 
Wenn Du Angst vor RCs oder sonstigen non-Finals hast, bist Du bei siduction grundverkehrt. Da ist alles auf Treibsand gebaut.

The 18.11 kernel has resolved all of the problems on my systems!!!  ;D

Wozu diese oberlehrerhafte Bemerkung? Wer auf Sand baut, sollte tief gründen –> stabiler Kernel.
Wenn alles gut läuft, sind Kernel-Upgrades nur aus Sicherheitsaspekten nötig.
Bei eth0 DL von max. 128 kB/s lohnt es sich nachzudenken, welches Kernel-Upgrade ich mitnehme.

@Xaver, in that case you maybe playing with the wrong distribution as Siduction is a cutting edge rolling release. Stable is a completely different game.  ;)

Unsere kernel sind frisch und stabil - sonst macht das ja keinen Spass.

Vielleicht war meine Frage nicht klar genug formuliert.
Gibt es bei den Siduction-Kernels eine Systematik der towo-Subversionen?

Vermutung:
towo.1 basiert auf dem offiziellen 'Latest Stable Kernel'
towo.2, towo.3 usw. sind Release Canditates des folgenden Stable Kernels.
Ist das so?

In der regel, ja.Allerdings können kernels > towo.1 auch andere patches enthalten, bugfixes oder security fixes.Sowas steht aber auch immer im changelog.
Ich gehe nicht zum Karneval, ich verleihe nur manchmal mein Gesicht.
