Title: Solved: dead menuitems in rqt flavour
Post by: dieres on 2012/11/21, 13:11:18
Bei einem ersten Check ist mir aufgefallen, das die cups Druckereinrichtung und der midnight commander nicht aus dem Menü starten, da passiert einfach nichts, auch keine Fehlermeldung.

Das Betrifft das installierte System, Live hab ich nicht getestet, nur fürs installieren hochgefahren.

In installed rqt flavour menuitems Midnight-Commander and configure-cups are dead.
schould be fixed by:

Code: [Select]
apt-get update && apt-get install xterm menu

das betrifft auch das Live-Medium, beide Einträge sind tot

Code: [Select]

apt-get install menu xterm

qterminal ist dann wohl doch nicht so kompatibel zu den Terminalstandards wie erwartet. Die beiden Pakete sollten das fixen. Siehe auch

das manuelle starten mittels qterminal klappt schon, nur die Menüeinträge sind halt (in der jetzigen Form) tot. Es ist ja auch der RC1, also noch genügend Zeit das zu fixen oder die Einträge einfach raus zu nehmen.

@silk: Du liest aber schon die Postings anderer Menschen? Was ist an meinem misszuverstehen? Nur ein kleiner Tipp am Rande, bestimmte Anwendungen brauchen halt bestimmte Terminalfunktionalitäten, um im Terminal gestartet zu werden. Und qterminal scheint das nicht zu bringen. mit einem installierten xterm und menu starten auch die toten Anwendungen wieder. Das ist gefixt.

Can we either get a complete English translation of this thread or have it moved to the German portion of the forum.

It's not that hard to get a complete translation.

http://translate.google.de/translate?sl=de&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=de&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fsiduction.org%2Findex.php%3Fname%3DPNphpBB2%26file%3Dviewtopic%26t%3D2975%26highlight%3D&act=url

But yes, still annoying ...

The translation from google does a word for word translation, some of which looses meaning and can be difficult to understand the entire meaning of the message. Not to mention it's filed in the wrong place to begin with.

The important words are apt-get install $foo and solved. 5 times the same complains is a little bit to much imho. This is the Bugs section. If you have bugs to report, please do it.

As a developer i'm happy about every report before the release. If the language is english or german it is ok for me. The english part in top of the forum is new to the most of our longterm users so be kind and let it evolve.

The bug is fixed, thanks to the reporters. Thats the only thing that count for me.

Since we are way off topic --- here is also a pretty good translator: http://www.systransoft.com/

As a bug hunter if I can't understand it I can't help track it down. Hence the need for it to be in a language I can understand.
