Have you tried

Code: [Select]
dpkg-reconfigure lightdm
If not using lightdm replace the above with sddm (sddm works fine here, dist-upgraded less than 2 minutes ago

Does booting with the previous kernel work ?

Might want to post inxi -F

I missed out on installing linux-image-4.2.4-towo.1-siduction-amd64 but I've had no other problems with recent kernels

Hello jure,

i don't experience any problems with linux-image-4.3.0-towo.1-siduction-amd64.

The missing-initrd bug was fixed with 4.2.4-towo.2. You can check with:
Code: [Select]
$ ls -l /boot/initrd.img-4.3.0-towo.1-siduction-amd64
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 19311777 Nov  4 09:27 /boot/initrd.img-4.3.0-towo.1-siduction-amd64

I'm using nvidia-driver 352.55-2 from debian experimental/non-free.
Do you have enough free space on your /boot partition?

greetings
musca

Hi towo

I tried some more reboots and surprisingly the pc start**. Before that  there was nothing after the grub menu and the monitor tuns of.
edit**: I have a second Monitor witch is connected to the pc via VAG, but this monitor is and was deactivated in the system-settings and not used in the last weeks. So switched him on after the main monitor "dies" and there was the login-screen. So I can login on this second monitor, but after the login there is no more video signal and the main monitor starts again.
This confusing behaviour is only when I boot with 4.3.0....

Hallo towo

I got the same problem with kernel 4.3.0-towo.1 and sddm. Therefore I'm sticking with kernel 4.2.3-towo.1

with the new kernel 4.3.0-towo.2-siduction-amd64 the problems seems to be solved for me, login works and Strg-Alt-F1 also.

Thx to towo !

Hi all,

I am wondering how to do now, as the init3 is dark.
Can I boot an older kernel like 4-2-*, d-u from there and come then to the 4.3.0-towo.2 instead of one?
