Software - Support / Steam doesn't install (SOLVED)

Hello.

Every time I try to install Steam through Synaptic, I get this:
steam-installer:

Package steam-installer has no available version, but exists in the database.
This typically means that the package was mentioned in a dependency and never uploaded, has been obsoleted or is not available with the contents of sources.list


I refuse to install a "flatpack" or "snap" or whatever when the package I want is IN the repo, so....how do I install it?

EDIT: Solved it after adding "non-free" to sources and installing "steam" instead of "steam-installer"

Dem Bild nach fliegst du tatsächlich zum Mond.

Bist du Vodafone Kunde und hast die Option für Homespot und Hotspot aktiviert?
Verwendest du ein mobiles Gerät?

Einstellmöglichkeiten unter
> Systemeinstellungen > Verbindungen > Wi-Fi >

Dem eigenen WLAN im Reiter 'Allgemeine Einstellungen' unter
'Automatisch mit Priorität verbinden' eine höhere Priorität geben. Z.B. 10

Siehe 'man nm-settings-nmcli'  > connection setting > autoconnect priority

Code: [Select]

The autoconnect priority in range -999 to 999. If the connection is set to autoconnect,
connections with higher priority will be preferred. The higher number means higher priority.
Defaults to 0. Note that this property only matters if there are more than one  candidate
profile to select for autoconnect. In case of equal priority, the profile used most recently
is chosen.Den unerwünschten Vodafone Verbindungen diese Option entziehen, oder
ihnen einen negativen Wert geben.

Moin!

Habe schon länger das Problem, dass zwar nmcli die WLan-Verbindung mit meinem Router mit korrekter SSID listet, das KDE/Plasma-Pendant die SSID aber nicht kennt und stattdessen behauptet, mein Notebook (tagesaktuelles KDE/Plasma) sei mit gleich 3 WLans aus der Nachbarschaft verbunden. WLan-Verbindung steht, uneingeschränkter Internet-Zugang. Andere Geräte - z.B. mein Android-Smartphone - sehen die SSID u. können sich problemlos verbinden. Es handelt sich also in erster Linie um ein kosmetisches, aber irgendwie doch lästiges Problem. Ob das auch in anderen WLans zu Problemen führt (in welchem bin ich überhaupt?), kann ich aktuell nicht prüfen. Router ist eine fritz!Box 6591 Cable.

Hatte jmd. von euch ähnliche Probleme u. hat ggf. sogar eine Lösung zur Hand?

@dibl: Since our last release, we have a chroot helper on our live media(courtesy of towo), that will set up a chroot with one or two clicks. No more need to type in commands.

@dibl: Since our last release, we have a chroot helper on our live media(courtesy of towo), that will set up a chroot with one or two clicks. No more need to type in commands.

And it works perfectly too!

Ja, das passiert beim frisch installierten System ohne Updates/Upgrades.

Noch ne frage, dies passiert auch wenn frisch installiert ist, ohne apt full-upgrade oder danach?
