The error is corrected in version 2014.01.01

Code: [Select]
apt-get update ; apt-get install sidu-installer

Command to ensure the version:
Code: [Select]
apt-cache policy sidu-installer

Hama has at least identified the culprit, that is causing all this trouble with the installer. Funny enough, we now believe that people with this problem must have a version of
Code: [Select]
/etc/aptosid-version somewhere on their harddisks. This file has a greek codename of a former aptosid install in it. Could be seen as the late revenge... :)

This would be the little bugger then :

aptosid 2013-01 Ἑσπερίδες - xfce - (201305050307)

 :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

The good news is that siduction is now number one on my grub 2 menu

Trying to fully wean myself off aptosid.....especially now siduction is moving on to systemd

I Also had trouble with this and it's mentioned somewhere else, and yes on that computer was an aptosid installation before. That also explained that I wasn't able to reproduce the bug again after formatting the hard disk.

@ melmarker, sorry if I didn't wrote above on the rc-1 bug thread.

vilde: it's ok - all people involved know the bugs from forum
