@Devil

Thanks again. kwin-x11 and some dependencies were missing.

I don't understand why it is not a dependency to kde-standard, but I bet there will be a beautiful mind to tell why I'm wrong.

Thats easy - nothin depend on kwin-x11 | kwin - so you can happily purge it or loose it while upgrading the machine. That's all, nothing to see ...

no - it isn't so obvious - kwin-x11 | kwin means that there are a few packages that are (or at least should be) interchangable. And debian install with recommends, so a package that provide kwin should be installed if one install plasma-desktop. That make changes less painfull.

But it might be painful for users if the package is removed by a transition and $user don't notice it. Thats the funny thing about sid. Things can and will break, that will never happend in a stable environment.

What is the current status here? Can this be marked as "Done"?

But in my current setup a du would case to remove libmovit4 libqt5xdg1 texlive-math-extra.

He' showing that he let all of those go, so it should be safe to do the same.  (I know that tetex-math-extra has been incorporated in a different package.)

Thanks finotti   ;)

buhtz, I really didn't know I had to spell it out with 2 of the packages listed giving the results of

Installed: (none)
Candidate: (none)

In the future, if you see the no candidate, it means it doesn't exist in debian sid (could be a name change, could be joined in a meta package)
