Ben slowly speaking at Fosdem 2013 ...
wget \
http://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/fosdem-video/2013/crossdistro/Stable_kernel_maintenance_for_distributions.webm
He maintaines linux-3.2 for Debian and kernel.org. Not much new he talks about though ...

Thanks.
But here in this forum the "\" is wrong! It does not escape a line feed (and prevents a d/l).
So if you want to d/l ommit the "\". Or copy the URL in the addressbar of a webm able browser to view this video directly.

The mirror doesn't serve well for viewing!
It escapes the lf: Just mouse mark, copy and paste in a Kde Konsole and return!

Yeah, this is true.
It escapes the lf: Just mouse mark, copy and paste in a Kde Konsole and return!
Here on fluxbox and programms "konsole", "xterm" or "terminal" it didn't :-( :wget \

Ok, I see the problem you tried to avoid.
wget http://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/fosdem-video/2013/crossdistro/Stable_kernel_maintenance_for_distributions.webm
With doubleqoutes you can avoid the truncation of the URL *and* there is no problem with c&p.
wget "http://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/fosdem-video/2013/crossdistro/Stable_kernel_maintenance_for_distributions.webm"
No need for forcing lf in quoted text here in the forum, I think.
