[EN] wifi lost lxqt/connman
« on: 2019/09/21, 22:41:01 »
Hi all,
all kernels after 5.1.9-towo.2-siduction-amd64 x86_64 lost their wifi connection respective had none.
Tried to solve it on cli with connmanctl, but on step "scan wifi" I got following notification:
Error /net/connman/technology/wifi: Not implemented
ip link show - shows nothing regarding wifi
ip link set wlp1s0 up - sets up nothing
How to get wifi back to work?
Greetings

What is this strange creature? Installed it for giggles. Works here with 5.3.0 kernel. I have no idea how it works but it does.
Code: [Select]
root@test:/home/guy# connmanctl
Error getting VPN connections: The name net.connman.vpn was not provided by any connmanctl> scan wifi
Scan completed for wifi

Ok got the solution over this site: https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.com/p/realtek.html
Mine is the Realtek RTL8821CE chipset, the last one in the above listing.
Followed the given commands and after reboot my wifi is working again!
Seems to be there are some issues with Realtek chips?!
