Skype (skypeforlinux beta) fails to log in
« on: 2017/10/17, 22:44:08 »
I am posting under Upgrade Warnings because it worked 24 hours ago. After today's full-upgrade, it appears that skype is not able to authenticate a login.  It spins for awhile, then loops back to the login screen and asks for the login name and password again.  I reinstalled the package and rebooted the system, but it won't log in.

Code: [Select]
root@Hibiscus:/# apt policy skypeforlinux
skypeforlinux:
  Installed: 5.5.0.1
  Candidate: 5.5.0.1
  Version table:
 *** 5.5.0.1 500
        500 https://repo.skype.com/deb stable/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     5.4.0.1 500

Works for me

Heh -- this morning it works "einwandfrei" -- error-free.  It must have been some problem on the MS servers, or somewhere between me and MS.
