Solved: Website downtime
« on: 2015/02/24, 19:07:13 »
Hi,
you may have noticed that the website was down today for nearly a hour - i needed to change some main players in our webserver settings: Percona SQL 5.5 is gone, MariaDB 10.0 is the successor, perl5.18 is gone, replaced by perl5.20

On the paper this will give us some performance improvements (ca. 100% if configured right 8) - thats what the papers say ), hopefully the hickups are gone and the software is maintained directly in debian instead a external repository. Time will tell.

----

Hmm, I myself am going to switch to MariaDB instead of Mysql for mythtv.

I think I shall make a new build this weekend and start fresh,  hmm,  that's no fun  :)
