hi all,

after updating cups to version 1.7.1 my postscript network-printer (HP Color Laserjet 4700) doesn't work anymore. even when i try to print a test page multiple pages with a few lines of garbage are printed and no error is reported in /var/log/cups/error_log.

my current config is:

Code: [Select]

~$ uname -a
Linux maschine 3.13-4.towo-siduction-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Feb 21 09:39:26 UTC 2014 x86_64 GNU/Linux

~$ apt-cache policy cups

cups:
  Installiert:           1.7.1-5
  Installationskandidat: 1.7.1-5
  Versionstabelle:

i have now problems with an older aptosid installation:

Code: [Select]

~$: uname -a

~$ apt-cache policy cups-filters

  Versionstabelle:

~$ apt-cache policy foomatic-filters

        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

i suggest it has something to do with the replacement of foomatic-filters.

has anyone a suggestion how to solve the problem? can i install foomatic-filters without breaking other packages?

cheers
