roger router fails
« on: 2015/04/26, 17:13:46 »
Hi all,

anyone running roger router  successfully?

I own an up-to date 64 bit siduction (AMD64, dist-upgrade twice a week) and a FB 7390, and I installed roger-router straight from the repositories.

After configuring the package and the FB as mentioned in the documentations and adding me to the group fax it fails (cf. attachmant) with the cups error message: "Backend failed".  Restarting the FB or the connection do not change this status.

The settings and the connection to the FB are checked and seem to be OK.

But there is no file generated in /var/spool/roger/paco when I try to print to "Roger-Router-Fax" and there is no question for the number to send the fax to.

Perhaps these two lines are the Problem:

15:57:17 GLib-GIO:Critical: g_input_stream_read_all: assertion 'G_IS_INPUT_STREAM (stream)' failed
15:57:17 GLib-GIO:Critical: g_input_stream_close: assertion 'G_IS_INPUT_STREAM (stream)' failed

But, what´s wrong?

Any help is very much appreciated.

Thank you
paco

Hi paco,

there are problems with older Versions of roger router / Debian. Look at http://de.tabos.org/forum/
I am using version 1.8.10 from http://de.tabos.org/downloads. This is o.k.

Sorry for my bad english.
