requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libgtk-3-0 : Depends: libwayland-egl1-mesa (>= 10.0.2) but it is not going to be installed or
libwayland-egl1
phonon4qt5 : Depends: phonon4qt5-backend-vlc but it is not going to be installed or
phonon4qt5-backend
E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.
root@oppa-hex-ssd:~# apt install libwayland-egl1-mesa libwayland-egl1

Note, selecting 'libwayland-egl1-mesa' instead of 'libwayland-egl1'
libwayland-egl1-mesa is already the newest version (17.2.1-2).

What's it's problem ? Is 17 less than 10 ?

*bump* Apt is still telling me this nonsense, is this a bug or what ?

Have you explicitly pinned/held any packages?
-
Hi,
nope. I've read that line too and thought "Well, not my fault".
root@oppa-hex-ssd:~# dpkg -l | grep ^hi
root@oppa-hex-ssd:~# apt-mark showhold
root@oppa-hex-ssd:~#
No errors and no output.
-
and what is the result of apt install -f

OppaErich:You aren't alone. I'm having a similar issue. I have used apt upgrade so I don't have as many open packages. I'll try to get on later and post something similar to what you have done.
-
Hi,
there is some progress. The wayland package disappeared.

phonon - is this audio support for KDE ? I could remove that, I'm using Gnome.
-
Phonon is an audio abstraction layer for KDE programs. Even if you're not using KDE as your desktop, you probably have at least one program that needs Phonon as a dependency if it is installed.
What happens if you try to install phonon4qt5-backend-vlc manually?

had the same problem, found solution here: https://forum.siduction.org/index.php?topic=6858.msg55767#msg55767
