Xsane findet Scanner nicht. DCP-9010CN

Hallo,


da nach Weihnachten bei dem Laptop meiner besseren Hälfte die Festplatte starke Geräusche machte, habe ich eine neue gekauft und siduction-patience-Xfce-64bit installiert. Hat auch soweit alles geklappt.


Nur das Xsane keinen Scanner findet. Weder als user noch als root.


Google gab zwar ein paar Tips, wie Links setzen und versch.   .rules anpassen, und, und, und.


Habe es auf verschiedenen Rechern und mit verschieden patience iso's versucht.


Xfce-64bit, Xfce-32bit, kde-64bit und lxde-64bit. Drucken geht, Xsane findet den Scanner nicht.


Habe dann paint it black-64bit installiert und da geht auch das scannen. Dabei ist es vollkommen egal, ob nach der Installation erst der Treiber installiert wird und dann d-u ausgeführt wird oder erst d-u und dann der treiber installiert wird.


Habe die Treiber mit dem script aus dem Wiki installiert. Ohne Erfolg bei patience.
Treiber manuel runtergeladen und manuel installiert. (treiber sind aktueller). ebenfalls ohne Erfolg bei patience
Die install.deb von Brother. ebenfalls ohne Erfolg bei patience


Bei paint it black gehen alle 3 Möglichkeiten.


Habe dann mal die Paketlisten von beiden Installationen miteinander verglichen und nicht wirklich was gefunden.

Kannst du mit scanimage irgendwas erreichen?

Dein scanner ist über LAN angeschlossen nicht über USB.
Schau mal hier nach https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Scanner/Brother/  , steht ganz unten beschrieben. ;)

danke, die Seite kenne ich schon länger. Mit paint-it-black klappt das ja auch noch. Bloß mit patience nicht mehr.
Ich versuche ja die Ursache zu finden, habe aber bisher nichts erreicht. Deshalb suche ich ja nach Hilfe, damit ich das wiki anpassen kann.

vielleicht helfen Dir meine Erfahrungen von heute, vielleicht auch nicht.

Mein gerade gekaufter Samsung M2070W druckte zwar, aber wurde als Scanner nicht erkannt. Nachdem ich die - seltsamerweise für Samsung geltende - Konf-datei /etc/sane.d/xerox_mfp.conf  um die per lsusb ermittelte deviceID (04e8:3469) ergänzt hatte, wurde der Scanner sowohl von xsane als auch von scanimage erkannt, und zwar sowohl als USB-Gerät als auch als Netzgerät (WLAN).
Nur das Scannen klappte noch nicht. Es gab obskure Fehlermeldungen (Read-Error, I/O Fehler u.ä.) je nach Programm. Ein Versuch mit Vuescan brachte mich dann auf die Spur. Diese Fehlermeldung war aussagekräftig. Es fehlte libusb-0.1.so.4
Per locate war diese Datei in siduction-Patience nicht zu finden, aber in einer älteren Paint it Black Installation gab es diese Datei in /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/

Rüberkopiert und gefreut. Mein M2070W druckt und scannt, wie ich es erwarte.

DAS war der entscheidende Hinweis!  ;) ;)


Ein "apt-get install libusb-0.1-4" brachte den Durchbruch.


Xsane findet nun den Scanner.  Daumen Hoch!!


Warum das nun bei der patience aus der .iso geflogen ist? ::)

weil nichts davon abhängt :P

Edit: Ist nicht wirklich witzig - bitte nen Fehler gegen xsane malen, libsane benutzt libusb-1.0, wenn xsane noch libusb-0 nutzt, dann ist da was richtig schief gelaufen, denn das ist durch wirklich keine Dependency mehr abgedeckt.
