I can report that both LXQT install on my eeepc and the KDE install on the desktop have survived a long due update tonight.  Phew, glad that's over. At least for me.

I've delayed a du with this issue. Is it safe to du with intel modesetting driver? Is the problem absolut has seen with USB file copying a general problem?

I still have tha same issue as before, (https://forum.siduction.org/index.php?topic=7181.msg58229#msg58229) I have to downgrade xserver to be able to come in to x. Maybe it's another problem on that computer?

Here the issue is almost vanished, BUT rarely KDE plasmashell has a problem; all icons become illegible like a broken lcd monitor; the system still works without problem..

For restore plasmashell, I can type in a terminal: kquitapp5 plasmashell && kstart plasmashell

Someone else here has the same problem?

All my computers are working except the one with nvidia graphics. I can se that you have a T420s harley-peter, my T420 with intel graphic are one of them working without problems.
