Title: Systemd with and encrypted installation on LVM
Post by: bad_aptitude on 2014/04/07, 05:44:43
I have a siduction installation on an encrypted LVM (according to the siduction manual). Has anyone with such an installation switched to systemd? Did it work?
Thanks

Hi bad_aptitude,
it works fine here (siduction, encrypted installation with LVM and systemd).
I proceeded according to this manual (http://wiki.siduction.de/index.php?title=Verschl%C3%BCsseltes_System_mit_LUKS/dm-crypt_und_LVM_aufsetzen#Installation_und_Konfiguration_der_Variante_2).

Thanks for the info bluelupo,
I have the other installation (option 1 I think)  where my boot partition is inside the LVM and the OS and other partitions are encrypted inside the LVM.
I'm hoping someone has tried systemd with this kind of structure (with success) before I take a stab at it;  especially because of the issues that Devil referred to concerning systemd  and LVM.
