Title: Changing from KDE to Razor-qt
Post by: bad_aptitude on 2012/10/12, 09:42:22
I would eventualy like to have razor-qt as my primary DE on my home system, but it appears it won't be mature enough for my needs for a year or so. Thus I would like to temporize by installing KDE on my home system and then later switch it over to razor-qt.
Is it possible, recommended or crazy to migrate a KDE installation to Razor-qt?
In other words , if I have a working KDE environment and  I then installed razor-qt can I just remove the KDE aps? ... or will the wheels fall off?
Thanks

You can install razor alongside with KDE. If you then want to get rid of KDE, just delete it. That should not have anxy effect on razor.

I can recommend to wait for some weeks for our new razor release. There is a major razor-qt upgrade happening these days (maybe even today) to 0.5

How do I do this: what do I need to install to get Razor-QT in addition to my existing KDE?
