On boot and the last string on dmesg gives me multiple

Code: [Select]
[2x.xxxxxx] nvdia: unknown.symbol mtrr_add/del (err 0)

Looks like it can't load the driver but all other kernels up to this point are OK.

I'm using the Debian 304.128 nVidia drivers.

Thats easy, apply a matching patch, rebuild the kernel, be done with it - its a upstream problem 8)

introduced here:
http://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=2baa891e42d84159b693eadd44f6fe1486285bdc

hopefully solved with:
http://nmacleod.com/public/oebuild/patches/00_hack_kern43.txt

But please be patient and let towo` have a look - worst case would be that the patch affect other things.

one question since you have intel video card, with kernel

Code: [Select]
└──┤ uname -r
4.3.0-towo.1-siduction-amd64

i get a blank tty (with previous kernels i get a normal tty)

do you have this issue with this kernel and intel graphics card?

more info
Code: [Select]

Thanks all for your replies. Yes, Intel OK, nVidia not. I can wait. Systems will work just fine on 4.2 kernels probably forever. Never had an update that said it required a new kernel. :)

To-Wo......To-Wo......To-Wo
Linux version 4.3.0-towo.3-siduction-686-pae

Problem solved on i386. I'll check amd64 install later.
Are you sure Towo is not Linus?
Can't give Towo enough thanks for the instant fix.
