The latest version of chromium from the sid repository (65.x) won't run ublock origin, adblock plus, nor stylish without crashing. Those are the only ones I had a problem with, I do have other extensions that run fine. I restart the extensions and they'll crash immediately. I uninstalled all of them which were installed from the chrome store, then tried to use the debian package in the repos for ublock origin and still crash. There's no version in the repos to downgrade to. I have chrome and chrome-beta from the google repository running fine. Anyone else have this problem?

where please there is uBlock orgin in the repos?
Here in palemoon and FF the part runs smoothly.
And, you don't need anything else! ;)

$ apt-cache policy chromium-ublock-origin
chromium-ublock-origin:
Installed: 1.13.8+dfsg-1
Candidate: 1.13.8+dfsg-1
Version table:
*** 1.13.8+dfsg-1 500
500 http://deb.debian.org/debian (http://deb.debian.org/debian) unstable/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
I had version 1.15 from the chrome store. When it kept crashing I uninstalled it and installed the one from the debian repo. Still crashes.

It's not chromium that's crashing, it's the extension. When I start chromium there's a message that ublock origin has crashed, also one for stylish. If I close the dialogs chromium still runs fine, just without those extensions running. Same happens if I remove ublock origin and use adblock plus instead. Several other extensions all run fine. For an experiment I removed all extension except ublock origin and it still crashes. Same for adblock and also stylish. Those specific extensions won't run, neither by themselves nor with other extensions.

Thanks. I was worried it was just me. Google didn't show me any other occurrences.

I had this problem too.
Uninstalled ublock and installed Ghostery Browser Extension. Its not bad and works.
I hope this helps

I fixed this problem by creating a new chromium profile. Now it works fine again(with uBlock Origin and uMatrix).

Chromium has been updated in the Sid repository and the extensions are working now.

Thanks, that's great. I didn't want to delete my profile with all my form info and passwords, and bookmarks...
